Train to Gain LogoInspirational Business Workshops Free for North East Businesses

Businesses are being encouraged to drop in for an hour or stay all day at a series of free inspirational business events taking place across the region.

At each of the day-long events, being hosted in Northumberland, Durham, Middlesbrough and Newcastle throughout March, businesses can register for up to five seminars from the eighteen on offer, as well as book in for a one-to-one session with a skills advisors.

The workshops, organised by Train to Gain North East, in conjunction with Business Link and the Learning Skills Council, are aimed at all types, sizes and styles of business. With titles such as, "Marketing in a Virtual World - How to harness the power of technology to improve your business performance," "Mind the Gap - Improving the skills of your workforce and addressing skills shortages," and "From Dial to Deal - Effective telephone selling," there really is something for everyone.

All four venues offer all eighteen seminars, taking place across five different time slots: 10am - 11am, 11am - 12pm, 1pm - 2pm, 2pm - 3pm and 3pm - 4pm. Businesses can attend as many or as few seminars as they like at each of the events.

Each event runs from 10am - 4pm on the following dates:

  • Tuesday 4 March 2008 - Longhirst Hall, Northumberland
  • Thursday 6 March 2008 - Gosforth Park Racecourse, Newcastle upon Tyne
  • Tuesday 11 March 2008 - Middlesbrough Football Club
  • Tuesday 18 March 2008 - Durham County Cricket Club
