Enter the 2008 North East England Tourism Awards
Tourism businesses of all types can now download entry forms to register their interest in entering the 2008 North East England Tourism Awards. But hurry - closing date is the 20th June.
Businesses of any kind - from small B&Bs to large attractions, from tour guides to large events and from cafes to activity centres - can enter any one of the fifteen categories:
- Large Hotel of the Year (over 35 bedrooms)
- Small Hotel of the Year (under 50 bedrooms)
- Bed and Breakfast/Guest Accommodation of the Year
- Self Catering Holiday of the Year
- Caravan Holiday Park of the Year
- Small Visitor Attraction of the Year
- Large Visitor Attraction of the Year
- Business Tourism Award of the Year
- Outstanding Customer Service Award
- Tourism Website of the Year
- Taste of North East England
- Sustainable Tourism Award
- Best Tourism Experience
- Access for All Tourism Award
- Tourist Information Centre of the Year
The wide range of categories reflect the quality, performance and innovation of our tourism sector and give businesses the chance to show how they stand out from the crowd.
The awards form the regional heat of the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence and winners go on to take their place in the national finals to compete alongside the cream of UK tourism. This year there were two North East Gold winners at the national awards: the Sunderland Airshow for Best Tourism Experience and The Mill Granary Cottage for Self-catering Holiday of the Year
