Target Markets

In partnership with One North East, and using the ARK segmentation model, Northumberland Tourism has identified four key groups that we aim to attract in greater numbers.  These are:

Discoverers:   

Independent in mind and action.  Little influenced by style or brand, buy on function and value.

Cosmopolitans:

Active and confident, style and brand important.  High spenders who like new challenges and experiences.

Traditionals:

Self-reliant and slow to adopt to new options.  Oriented towards traditional values and value individual attention and service.

Functionals:

Self-reliant and price driven.  Value function over style and traditional values, but interested in new experiences.
