HM Revenue and Customs have announced measures to help businesses operating beyond midnight on 31 December 2009 sensibly return the standard rate of VAT.
A helpful brief has been issued by HM Revenue and Customs who have recognised that the date change of New Years Eve could be especially complicated for hospitality businesses who trade beyond midnight on one of the busiest nights of the year.
