Closing Date Approaching for the Olive Barnett Customer Service AwardMarch 28th is the closing date for entries into the Olive Barnett Award 2008 - a prestigious award for young people working in hospitality, leisure, travel or tourism.
The Olive Barnett Award, which has been running annually since 1975, is designed to highlight outstanding customer service talent in this sector. The award was created by the Savoy Gastronomes and is sponsored by the Langham, London, caterer.com and Claridges.
Entry into this high-profile award is simple:
Eight finalists will then be invited to a judging dinner at the Langham on May 18th. The winner and two runners up will be awarded their prizes at a presentation dinner at Claridges the following night.
The lucky winner will receive £1000 per year for the next three years as a career development grant and will be whisked away to the world famous Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne for a weeklong Lausanne Executive Education - Summer Programme.
