Book Now for the Workshops Taking Place in July

The Department of Work and Pensions is running the excellent "Employ Ability" workshops in Newcastle and Penrith on the 15th and 17th July.

Attendants of previous workshops have expressed very positive feedback indeed, rating the workshops highly worthwhile.   "It was an excellent event, very well organised and presented and actually covered all aspects of Access.  The workshop is a real eye opener for anyone who needs to recruit staff," said Tricia Woods, of the Training and Skills Team at One NorthEast.

These short, free workshops give you the opportunity to:

  • Improve your confidence in recruiting and retaining disabled staff
  • Meet the businesses who already employ disabled people
  • Find out what resources are available and meet the Jobcentre Plus support team in your area
  • Improve your understanding of the legal context and the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA)
  • Receive practical easy to digest guidance packs, including material form the Employers Forum on Disability and SHiFT.

The following workshops are scheduled in on near the North East region:

15th July 2008    9.15am - 12.45pm        Newcastle United Football Club
