The 2009 North East England Tourism Awards event was held on the 15th October at The Hilton NewcastleGateshead. The glittering black tie event welcomed over 300 guests and awarded winners in 15 categories. The awards were hosted by Kim Inglis, journalist and TV presenter, and included spectacular entertainment from local performance artists Heartburn Entertainment.
