North East England Tourism Awards 2007The North East England Tourism Awards 2007 ceremony was held on the 19th September at the National Glass Centre in Sunderland and attended by almost 300 finalists and guests.
Compered by BBC Look North presenter, Wendy Gibson, the evening began with drinks and canapes, followed by the award presentation itself, black tie dinner and a spectacular fireworks finale.
Winners were awarded in 15 categories with 13 of these winners going forward for shortlisting for the national tourism awards, Enjoy England Awards for Excellence, to be held in April 2008.
