New one stop travel shop for people with access needs

An alliance between DisabledGo and Tourism for All has helped OpenBritain become the foremost source of information for holidays aimed at people with access needs.

OpenBritain was launched in July 2009 by three Ministers with the aim to be a one-stop-shop for people with accessibility needs.  The formation immediately received the support of all major disability groups and tourism organisations in both the public and private sectors.

The alliance means that OpenBritain will now benefit from the extensive database of venues reviewed regularly by DisabledGo.  DisabledGo's website provides access information and details for over 70,000 venues throughout the UK, 50,000 of which will be made available through the OpenBritain portal.
