The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has launched a DVD for small businesses that manufacture or retail food. The DVD is aimed at both managers and food handlers and shows practical ways to identify hazards and put into place successful food safety and hygiene practices. Available in sixteen languages, the DVD is available to any business that handles food.
The DVD is the latest initiative from the FSA, and builds on the success of the Safer Food, Better Business campaign, which already provides comprehensive packs of information and guidance to thousands of small food businesses and their staff. As well as promoting good practice, all the elements of the Safer Food, Better Business initiative aim to cut administration and red tape, so that businesses can operate safely, legally and effectively.
To order a copy of the DVD call FSA Publications on 0845 606 0667 or email foodstandards@ecgroup.co.uk.
