Online and Interactive Accessibility Training for Tourism Businesses
One NorthEast Tourism have just released a new online training course specifically for tourism businesses. Created to help businesses understand the needs of a diverse range of customers and to help them step-by-step through the process of improving access to all parts of their customer journey, the Profit through Access course is freely availalble to tourism businesses of all types.
Interactive and video features
The course features:
- a close up look at the different needs of a wide range of customers including those with disabilities, the elderly and customers with young children
- an examination of the whole customer journey - from encountering your marketing to leaving your premises
- video material and video case studies
- interactive learning material
- the facility to save your progress and answers
- a feature that allows you to build your Access Statement as you work through the course.
Free to use
The course is free for tourism businesses to use, and requires just a standard computer and connection. You will simply need to register once and then you can return and log-in as many times as you (or your staff) like, in order to complete the course.
Tried and tested
The course is the online version of a training programme that has been running for some time and has been put together using real experiences from real businesses - many of which are documented in the course material.
