Backed by government and developed by Ufi (Universities for Industry) Learn Direct offers free, impartial advice to businesses and consumers across the UK and directly delivers learning and courses through its network of over 800 learning centres. It is also one of the largest providers of e-learning in the world - 75% of its 500 courses are available online.

Learn Direct offers three services:

• It's own courses and training - delivered either though a centre or online.
• Independent and impartial careers advice for all training and learning options - not just their own. They have access to an up-to-date database of nearly one million courses from accredited learning and training providers across the UK. They also provide information on funding, childcare and career development.
• Advice, guidance and learning direct courses for business including online courses to buy, courses that lead to qualifications and bespoke training solutions that are tailor made for an individual business.

With a huge database of providers and courses, a comprehensive website and UK-based trained advisors available by telephone 7am - 11pm seven days a week, it has become the first port of call for learning and training enquiries for both learners and businesses.
