The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has released a new online training tool for businesses that handle food. The tool aims to raise awareness and provide free, easy-access training that can be used by staff at all leveles.

The training, http://allergytraining.food.gov.uk/ covers all aspects of catering for food allergies and intolerances.
There are five main sections, each targetting staff that work in different sectors of the industry.
Each section features easy to use interactive screens and self tests that help users learn the key issues and how to identify potential hazards before they become a problem.
In addition there are links to information about the law and downloads, factsheets and posters to print out.
This tool should become an essential part of the training mix for any business that serves food..
Find it at: http://allergytraining.food.gov.uk (Note: there is no www pre-fix)
