The County Durham Tourism Partnership

The County Durham Tourism Partnership is an independent company limited by guarantee. Its Chair and Board have been appointed on Nolan principles. This means the positions were widely advertised and that all appointments were made on merit by an independent panel. It also means that Board members act in terms of public interest rather than as representatives of any particular organisation.

The Chair of County Durham Tourism Partnership is Chris Davy. Owner of one of the most famous and successful hotels in North East England, Chris is well known across the region and is a strong advocate for tourism. His passion for the region resulted in him being used recently as one of the faces of the Passionate People, Passionate Places campaign by One NorthEast.

The Chair and Board members have been joined by Chief Executive, Melanie Sensicle. Melanie was Head of Marketing at Visit Brighton where she was responsible for marketing the city as a tourist destination. She comes with substantial experience in marketing and brings enthusiasm and ambition to unleashing the untapped potential of County Durham.
