Floating concert puts spotlight on BRASS

A floating concert on the River Wear officially launched BRASS: Durham International Festival on Friday.

Balkan gypsy brass band The Baghdaddies played an exclusive concert from the top deck of the Prince Bishop River Boat Cruiser, while other brass players bobbed alongside in traditional rowing boats.

The event, organised by CDTP, was covered on ITV's regional news programme North East Tonight and in The Journal, Northern Echo and Evening Chronicle.
