
Destination Management System (DMS)
This module provides the product, consumer and contact database management functions; enquiry management system; reporting suite; questionnaire builder; and system administration.
Depending on access permissions, functionality includes:
- Product Management - users can view, add and edit information held in the Regional Tourism Product Database to ensure a comprehensive range of tourism information is displayed on all Desti.ne linked websites and used in publications. The Regional Tourism Product Database is interoperable with EnglandNet, the National Tourism Product Database, to ensure North East England tourism information is displayed on VisitBritain websites and takes advantage of other distribution opportunities brokered by VisitBritain
- Contacts - users can view, add and edit contact details for individuals and organisations to ensure Tourism Network North East has a comprehensive and single source of mailing and contact information
- Consumers - users can view, add and edit consumer information, regardless of contact channel but dependent on access permissions, to ensure a single individual consumer record is maintained across Tourism Network North East
- Enquiry Management - users can search the product database and process a range of visitor enquiries from brochure ordering to accommodation bookings capturing vital consumer information. The Desti.ne Enquiry Management System includes the England Tourist Information Extranet for official networked TICs
- Reporting Tools - users can view a variety of reports based on information or data held in the system, e.g. booking and sales channel analysis and bed stock
- Questionnaire Builder - users have the opportunity to construct online surveys, track responses and export returns to survey interrogation packages like SNAP
