In 2007 the regional team in conjunction with the four area tourism partnerships collected visitor numbers to attractions on a monthly basis in order to more provide timely tourism business performance data.

The top ten most visited attractions in 2007 are shown below. When looking at visitors to attractions it should also be noted that a number of the regions attractions have a high level of usage by the local community
