Northumbria University

Northumbria is a forward moving, forward focused university, rooted in the North East of England, but reaching out to the world at large. The University offers a wide range of subjects in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and at research level, managed by nine Schools: Arts and Social Sciences, Built Environment, Business, Design, Computing Engineering & Information Sciences, Health Community & Education Studies, Law, Psychology & Sport Sciences and Applied Sciences. Recent success has enabled Northumbria to invest £130m in a state-of-the-art extension to our Newcastle City Centre Campus, acclaimed as the City's land mark of the year in 2007.

There are around 32,000 students, with 3500 from outside the UK studying on its courses and programmes in Newcastle, and a further 3,500 in centres in their own countries. The University now has its sights clearly fixed on becoming one of the world's leading teaching and learning providers, renowned for its innovative and research-based practice. For Northumbria 'great future' is not something around the next corner, it is here, a reality for us today.
