Tourism Network North East is made up of five independent organisations: One NorthEast Tourism, a regional team based within the Regional Development Agency, and four Area Tourism Partnerships or ATPs. The four ATPs are:
The Network is recognised as the official tourism support process for North East England by government, VisitBritain, tourism businesses and all the region's Local Authorities.
Although independent, the five organisations know it makes sense to work with each other, as well as with a range of partners, to promote tourism in the region and to make it easier for tourism businesses to access research, training, business advice and marketing opportunities.
The Network aims to reduce duplication and foster joint working so that shared expertise, information and best practice can deliver even greater results.
By bringing together businesses and public agencies the Network provides tourism businesses with the chance to influence tourism development and marketing both regionally and locally, ensuring that public funds support projects that really make a difference.
