The team consists of eight members covering:
Head of visitTeesvalley – Julia Frater
Prepares and implements the Tees Valley Area Tourism Management Plan and Business Plan. Advises and works with the Partnership Board on the successful implementation of all matters as defined by the Plans.
Commercial Development Manager – Claire Boston Smithson
Develop deliver and maintain effective partnership arrangements between key stakeholders within the Tees Valley to support the strategic objectives of the ATP
Contribute in the creation of a dynamic pioneering organisation, demanded by the market place
Proactively assist training providers and tourism businesses to ensure a high quality motivated workforce, and provide support services to tourism businesses and their workforce.
Proactively assist in delivering financial support from public sector and private sectors (including partners, sponsors and others).
Business & Skills Development Manager – Carol Daniell
Pro-actively identify and implement skills initiatives which seek to maximise opportunities for employment, skills development and business engagement in partnership with key stakeholders across the Tees Valley in the tourism and hospitality sector.
Identify a range of activities to inform business engagement and workforce development in relation to major events in Tees Valley with a particular focus upon the Tall Ships 2010.
Cultural Volunteering Officer – Carol Daniell
Develop and maintain a volunteer programme to maximise the benefits that cultural volunteering can bring to communities, organisations and individuals.
Proactively build and support local partnerships to champion, develop, and build on, cultural volunteering activity with the aim of supporting the regional employability agenda.
Inspire people to work, inspire people to volunteer by harnessing skills, encouraging talent and promoting creativity.
Marketing & PR Officer – Victoria Cornfield
Develop and deliver Marketing and PR plans and meet the relevant marketing/PR objectives identified in the Area Tourism Management Plan and Annual Business Plan. Work with partners across North East England to raise the profile of Tees Valley to regional, national and international audiences.
Administration & Information Officer – Heidi Shedperd
Provide administrative, information and organisational services to the Area Tourism Partnership (ATP) and the co- ordination of data collection and maintenance of the sub regional database element of the regional tourism website (Desti.ne) or equivalent.
Business Engagement Officer – Gemma Lawson
Act as the central point of contact for businesses working within the visitor economy, and take responsibility for implementing the business and workforce support programme.
Knowledgably promote and sell the support services of the Area Tourism Partnership working directly with the Commercial Development Manager in the preparation, review and successful implementation of the Area Tourism Management Plan.
Events Marketing Officer – Cara Pringle
Attract and deliver high profile events to drive the repositioning of Tees Valley as a world class visitor destination. Lead with key partners a programme of fund raising securing public and private sector income in support of the events programme with a view to managing and implementing the Culture10 and other programmes.
Business Tourism Officer – Lynda Clayton
Contribute to the commercial success of the Tees Valley visitor economy through the delivery of the management plan and the business plan for the business sector (including contracting, conferences, groups and education)
